small daisy granny square
Rain, rain go away! Ugh, I hate rainy days, but it's always a good day to start a project. I'm thinking lovey project.
My base blanket is going to be these cute daisy granny squares.
What I used:
Yellow yarn
White yarn
Soft Green yarn
H/8 5MM hook
Yarn needle
Scissors
CH = Chain
HDC = half double crochet
SS = slip stitch
DC = double crochet
ST = stitch
Yellow yarn:
CH 2, 8 hdc in 2nd CH back, SS together.
Tie off and weave ends in
White yarn:
Join with ss. CH 2, DC in same ST as SS, CH 2 and SS same ST.
*SS next ST, CH 2, DC in same ST, CH 2, SS same ST*
Follow *to* joining with SS
Tie off weave ends in
Soft Green yarn:
Join with SS (above any DC on a petal), *CH 2, SS in ST above next petal DC*
Repeat * to * till end of round joining with SS.
Now to square it off:
All st worked below previous CH 2 (working between each petal).
*CH 2, 3 DC, CH 2, 3 DC (between first petals).
CH 2, 3 DC (between next petal).*
Repeat * to *
Join end with SS
Tie off weave ends in.
Shape square
These are great moves fast and perfect to join several for a blanket.
You can always make them bigger adding to the granny square. Remember each corner will have a total of 6 DC.
